Within a quatrefoil, ‘bism Allāh / al-raḥmān al-raḥīm lā / ilāha illā’, continued in the margin, ‘Allāh Muḥammad rasūl Allāh arsalahū bi al-hudā wa dīn al-ḥaqq al-aʾimma Abūbakr ʿUmar ʿUthmān ʿAlī’ (‘In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. He sent him with guidance and the religion of truth. The Imams: Abubakr, ʿUmar, ʿUthman, ʿAli’ in Arabic). Rev. A sword in the center of a quatrefoil; to right and left, ‘ḍuriba – bi Zabīd’ (‘Struck in Zabid’ in Arabic); below the sword, ‘840’ (in Arabic); name and titles of the king in the margin, partly illegible.
